THE NEW EMM-3NV MOTORIZED MICROMANIPULATOR has been developed by Narishige to meet specific user requests for more precise, natural control performance than the uniform, mechanical movement or standard motorized micromanipulators provide.
Years of experience and advanced expertise in precision control technology have been combined to create a motorized manipulator with the smooth, accurate positioning and superb operability of a hydraulic manipulator.
Addressing and solving the key problem of noise suppression, the EMM-3NV offers exceptional smoothness, pin-point precision and dramatically improved operating stability.

40mm movement range provides superb workabilityThe wide 40mm movement range in all three (X, Y, Z) axes (coarse and fine combined), enabling work over a wider area. This is about 60% more than the conventional 25mm (1 inch) working area. |

Smooth movement with excellent operabilityNarishige's familiar vernier control knobs are employed. The control knobs are equivalent in size to those of a hydraulic unit, allowing the same operating feel as a hydraulic control unit. Easy to make the switch to the motorized control box. |

Incorporating a motor and sensor in the drive unit, this motorized micromanipulator enables more accurate positioning of microelectrodes.
This remotely-operated micromanipulator uses a closed-loop control system to feed back the positional information of the drive unit to the control unit, enabling the user to derive the precise coordinates.

Coordinate Calculation This function enables the user to set an arbitrary position as a reference point and the display is capable of showing the distance traveled from the reference point set. Position measurement system saves you the inconvenience of calculating the distance traveled, during and after each experiment. |

Compared to SR-5N, the auxiliary ear bar and the mouth/nose fixing metal adopted the devetail structure, which achieves an excellence of smooth position adjustment. The current model with a good reputation since its released in 2004. |

With this prototype, we made a further improvement to SR-5R, the auxiliary ear bar and the nose fixing metal have become much easier to use.

Auxiliary ear bar has improved by changing the shape to fit more comfortably in the plam of your hand, compared to the previous one. Plus the part of the spring-loaded dovetail structure is protected by a cover plate; it offers a good user-friendliness. |

| Improvements on Nose Fixing Metal | |

As usual, when the knob is rotated, the nose fixing metal adjusts the angle in the vertical direction, which makes it possible to fix the animal's upper jaw. |

Different from the previous one, this prototype has a small knob on the side. Loosening the knob to pull out the whole part of the nose fixing metal in an upward direction provides sufficient space that makes it easier to hook the animal's teeth. |

The nose fixing metal is offerd in two types of shape; old & new. You can choose whichever fits better to the animal, and either one you choose, they are compatible with each other. |
